Rohingya community invites Daw Aung San Suu Kyi

Hon'ble Chairperson,
... The National Human Rights Commission of Thailand(NHRCT),
Dear Respectable Prof.Amara,Phd.

We feel encourage that Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is visiting Thailand. We
are pleased that on the invitation of Karen National Union (KNU),she
is visiting Karen Refugees on Thursday. It is also learnt that she is
going to see Burmese migrant workers, their family members and leaders
in Samutesakron (Mahachai)from 8.30 to 10 on tomorrow.We really
appreciate this generosity of the great leader.

As you are well aware ,the Rohingya in Burma are one of the most
oppressed ,persecuted voice less and unrepresented peoples. The great
Human Rights violations perpetrated against them are well documented
by UN, Human Rights and media groups. On top of that ,the military
regime has declared them as non-national sending them stateless in
their ancestral home land.

Due to persecution, bulk of Rohingya population is in Diasporas in many
countries of the world .Under extreme situation, the Rohingyas are
leaving their home land for South East Asia.During their flights ,over
a thousand of them drowned in the high seas while many of them were
rescued for ended up in jail in some countries in the Region over the
years. Thus the Rohingya problem becomes a regional problem with
international dimension.
Despite some positive change in Burma,so far no winds of change
touched this Rohingya people .There is no change of attitude of the U
Thien Sein Government to wards Rohingyas and persecution against them as
callous,even greater.
However we have high expectation of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. She is our
beloved leader. We have a feeling of excitement to get an opportunity
to meet her and would like to invite her to tea party with the
Rohingya community in a convenient and suitable Hotel in Bangkok. In
case she has time constraint, you may please make an arrangement either
to allow us participating in any one of her events or to meet her in
hotel suites in 20-30 minutes.
We hope our beloved leader Burma democracy icon Daw Aung San Suu Kyi
will honor our ardent request.
