Requesting for the UNSC urgent meeting regarding APERTHEID Master-Plan in Myanmar

If Myanmar Military and U Thein Sein’s government failed to stop the following APERTHEID Master-Plan on Muslims in Rakhine state, which is already started, the world leaders should request for the urgent UNSC meeting to discuss and rescue the oppressed people.
OIC member Muslim countries should WARN the Chinese and Russian governments not to use VETO in the coming urgent UNSC.
(NOTE: The Apartheid Rakhine party had also requested for the discussion with UN and other countries as stated in the last line, i.e. No 6 d.)

The following is the direct translation of the The Rakhine Nationalities Development Party RNDP’s Party Policy announcement of APERTHOID STYLE Post-Riots relocations.

No relief for Rohingya in Maungdaw
Two helicopters with relief goods arrived yesterday in Maungdaw and all the relief goods are kept in Myoma monastery where the relief goods were distributed to the Rakhines who are not taking shelter as refugees. Most Rakhines have homes and foods but they receive the relief from distribution centers. The authority setup three centers in Maungdaw – Myoma monastery, Myo Oo Pagoda monastery and Ward number 5 junctions “Community hall for Buddha religious purposes.”

The relief goods are not distributed to the Rohingya community and has no plan to distribute relief to them. Most of the Rohingya community who are living inside town and nearby town are facing foods shortage and some become starvation which will be danger for this community in the future and will die.

Burma's Rohingya refugees find little respite in Bangladesh

Sectarian violence in Burma has sent Muslim Rohingya refugees fleeing across the border, but they find themselves unwelcome in neighbouring Bangladesh

Some sobbed quietly while others pleaded and raised their arms to heaven. Their children looked on with glassy stares, utterly exhausted after days at sea in an open boat. Soon they would be on the water again, escorted by a Bangladeshi coast guard vessel and pushed back into the waters of Burma where they knew violence still raged.
"The Mogh slaughtered my brothers. They will kill us all … please help us!" screamed a woman carrying a baby only a few months old, before she was hustled away by border guards.

25 sent back with foods

29 june 2012→ Abdul Monayem Khan

COX’S BAZAR: Twenty-five Rohingyas were sent back to Myanmar Thursday as their influx into Teknaf area started again after a break of few days for calamitous rain.

Border Guard Bangladesh members sent them back along with foods by two boats at noon through Teknaf border, said a border security personnel.

Rohingyas failed to arrive in Teknaf amid adverse weather and torrential rain during the last five days. But, 12 Rohingyas intruded into Teknaf as soon as the weather started becoming normal on Thursday morning.

“Of the 25 Rohingyas, 13 were detained in BGB custody one week ago while 12 others entered Teknaf area through the Naaf River,” Lt Col Jahid Hasan, commanding officer of BGB’s 42 battalion in Teknaf, told daily sun.

Border guards have so far sent back over 1000 Rohingyas to their homeland when they sought refuge in Bangladesh after a series of violent sectarian riots between Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims flared up in Rakhaine state of Myanmar, leaving dozens of people dead.

Rohingya issue: A humanitarian problem to be addressed politically

When we find an elderly Rohingya women on boat begging for shelter to a Bangladesh Border Guard with her hands folded and tears in eyes, it is difficult for us to control emotion recollecting reminiscences of the similar situation in 1971 while beseeching a BSF person for the shelter to save our lives from the atrocities of Pakistani marauders and their associates now under trial. In such a situation, while life and death is a question, the humanitarian consideration prevails supreme demanding a political intervention to resolve amicably with mutual benefits. This has happened this time when Rohingya refugees started to reach border of Bangladesh by boat from the neighbouring Arakan state of Myanmar for shelter due to communal violence and repression to innocents.

On the event of such national crisis, an inter-ministerial meeting held on 17th June at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reaffirmed Bangladesh’s stance not to allow Rohingyas from Myanmar or to continue so in future. It might be recalled that the influx of about 2.00 lakh of refugees in Bangladesh in 1978 was the result of “Operation Dragon” launched by the then Burmese military ruler to eliminate unauthorised Muslims living in Arakan. Later on, after 16 months with continuous dialogue and negotiation, the Burmese government agreed to take back Rohingya refugees. Similar situation occurred in 1991 when the military rulers of Burma did not accept the result of general election in their country where Aung San Suu Kyi won with a big margin and Rohingyas voted for the winning party and celebrated her victory. The Government in a planned way thus, driven out about 2.70 Lakh Rohingyas and forced them to enter Bangladesh crossing the international boundary. After much negotiation, Myanmar has agreed to accept 2.50 Lakh refugees back with 20,000 left over at Cox’s Bazar and around. This time, the background situation is different which developed due to the communal riot between Rakhine Buddhists and Muslims that generated over the raping of a Buddhist girl.

No reason to abandon Rohingyas

Apparently, Bangladesh's pushback of helpless Rohingyas from its territorial waters into those of Myanmar seems to have worked. Or has it? Given that 30,000 were afflicted in the latest eruption of ethnic violence in Rakhine state capital Sittwe, this may have been just a stalling operation.

Since no media is allowed in the troubled zone, there's no way knowing whether those sent back by us are safe. Perhaps, Bangladesh's stern approach has gone down well with the Myanmar authorities. For once, we could bite the bullet and let them float into the elements of nature, or shove them into the tunnel of uncertainty.

Burmese authorities targeting Rohingyas, UK parliament told

The Burmese army and police force have played a leading role in targeting Rohingya Muslims in northern Arakan state through mass arrests, arbitrary violence, rape and systematic discrimination since a state of emergency was declared on 10 June, according to a group of UK-based NGOs speaking to the British parliament on Wednesday.
As many as 650 Rohingyas have been killed, 1,200 are missing and more than 80,000 have been displaced since sectarian violence erupted, said Tun Khin, the President of the British Rohingya Organisation UK (BROUK), contradicting official reports that place the death toll at 80.
“We really need UN observers in Arakan State,” said Tun Khin.
Speaking to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Democracy in Burma together with Benedict Rogers from Christian Solidarity Worldwide and Chris Lewa from the Arakan Project , Tun Khin accused regime hardliners “who do not want to see reforms in Burma” of coordinating the violence.

Arakan Roit Breaking News: June 28, 2012

Rathedaung Township:
Twenty two villagers were arrested from Anukpin village of Rathedaung Township earlier and on June 27, again 60 villagers were arrested from the said village by army and Nasaka. After arrest, they were sent to Rakhine villages where they were tortured severally by Rakhine villagers. After that, they were sent to Akyab. The fate of the arrested villagers is not known to their relatives. The village has about 1000 houses, of them, 60 houses were burned down by Rakhines with the help of army and Nasaka though they have responsibility to give security of the Rohingya villagers, said a villager from Rathedaung on condition of anonymity.
Besides, 350 houses from Mozai Dia village and 150 houses of Sarat Pyin village were burned down into ashes by a group of Rakhine extremists in front of army and Nasaka. The concerned authorities declared that the army and Nasaka take security of the villages of Rathedaung Township. It is very difficult to understand that the army and Nasaka give security only Rakhine, but not to Rohingyas. They also co-operate with the racist Rakhines for arson attack to the Rohingya villages. The Burmese media also highlighted that the Rakhines are suffering from crisis of food and shelter, showing artificial Rakhine refugees who have been taking shelter in Nasaka camps and Buddhist monasteries of Maungdaw and Akyab (Sittwe).

Breaking News: Rohingya situation in Arakan state,Burma

Buthidaung Township:

Yesterday night, 4-Rohingya man was arrested by army personnel of Military Operation Command (MOC) No.15 of Buthidaung Township over the allegation that they have been involved in political matter. After arrest, they were brought to unknown place. The arrestees are: two sons of Master Abu Tayub, Imam Hussain, and Abin Chay. They all belong to Ward No.7 of Buthidaung Town. This is the first time arresting occurred in Buthidaung Township, after the sectarian riots have been broken out in Arakan State, said a villager from Buthidaung Township.

Heavy downpours at Buthidaung Township yesterday, the following villages such as---U Hla Pay, longa Daung, Sindaung and Alay Chaung--- went under water and villagers have been facing many difficulties. There is no report about death, but the water is still remaining. While the monsoon shower kept many villagers stranded at home throughout the day since early morning.

Maungdaw Township:

Today, Nasaka (Burma’s border security force) is seizing family lists of villagers of Myothu Gyi under the Maungdaw Township, reason is unknown, according to villagers.

Maungdaw north and south were flooded by heavy rain yesterday. Many villagers have been inundated and are facing many difficulties. Mean while, the army chased the villagers to arrest, so the villagers have to flee their villages to avoid arbitrary arrest leaving their women and daughters in the homes.

Irony of Myanmar's 'Iron lady': Peace activist Aung San Suu Kyi indifferent to Rohingya Muslims' plight in Burma

'Peace activist' mum on persecution

Aung San Suu Kyi was a world hero but does she command the same respect? This is now a question being asked repeatedly due to her apathy towards the plight of Rohingya minority and her controversial statements about their citizenship status.

The world had stood by Suu Kyi and openly supported the pro-democracy woman who had been under house arrest by the military government in Myanmar but after her release and victory, her stand on the Rohingya issue has been shocking to say the least.

Worse, Rohingyas were getting killed in the rioting when she was on a tour to Europe. She didn't speak about the violence back home, issued no direct appeal to her people to stop violence and while newspapers said she was treated like 'Rockstar' and awarded doctorate, Suu Kyi made THE controversial statement.

The 'iron' woman, who was supposed to have spoken for the rights of the community, has gone to the extent of questioning that if the minority indeed belongs to Burma. What can be the biggest irony? She was a hero for everyone but no more for me and perhaps many others.

Burma: Regime behind Rohingya ethnic cleansing

Source from Greenleft, 26 June 2012
By Tony Iltis

Rohingya refugees trying to make it to Bangladesh.
There are wildly divergent estimates of the death toll from ethnic and religious violence in the Burmese state of Arakan.
Mainstream media reports and the Burmese government are claiming that fewer than 100 people have been killed in violence they describe as clashes between the Buddhist Rakhine majority and Muslim Rohingya minority communities.
However, Rohingya sources estimate thousands of deaths from a planned campaign of violent ethnic cleansing by Burmese government forces. Rohingya sources say the regime has been instigating Rakhine mob violence as part of their campaign.
France 24 said on June 22: “More than 80 people have been killed and thousands displaced in a wave of violence between Muslims and Buddhists in west Burma.”
On June 21, the Burmese government put the death toll at 62, Associated Press reported.
But the National Democratic Party for Human Rights (NDPHR), a Rohingya political party that won four seats in the democratic 1990 Burmese elections, said on June 19: “The information from Arakan confirmed that the death toll of Rohingya has exceeded 10,000 from Sittwe city alone, and a few thousand from Maungdaw, Rathedaung and Kyauktaw townships.

Brief Situation Report

Brief Situation Report “15 Days of Ongoing Violence against Defenceless Unarmed Rohingyans in Arakan State of Western Burma (8-22 June)” On the Occasion of World Refugee Day- 20 June 2012

Brief Situation Report“15 Days of Ongoing Violence against Defenceless Unarmed Rohingyans in Arakan State of Western Burma (8-22 June)”On the Occasion of World Refugee Day- 20 June 2012
We undersigned nine Rohingya organizations would like express our earnest request to draw your urgent attention on the ongoing crisis in Arakan state of western Burma. According to the information we received in the past 15 days, the death number of Rohingyan is exceeded over 10,000 from Sittwe city alone and similar number from Maungdaw, Rathedaung and Kyauktaw townships. Most of them were shot dead, brutally beaten to death, burnt alive and killings of thousands of the rest of those taken away by security forces into hidden areas. At least, 25,000 of Rohingya houses were burnt down and more than 100,000 are homeless all over Sittwe, Maungdaw, Rathedaung, Rambre Island and Kyauktaw townships.
It is not fighting each other but it is another terror of well planned genocide by Rakhines cooperatively with local armed forces. From the beginning, Curfew and Order are restored only for Rohingya and confined within their homes. While Rakhines are openly allowed to trespass and attack Rohingya villages. Local security forces who are also Rakhine are sided with Rakhine people and explored more brutal crimes that include shooting fires into the houses and letting its partisan Rakhines to torch fire. Again, Rohingyans those came out from homes were brutally beaten and slaughtered and those fleeing were shot fires regardless of women or children. Plus, sexual abuses, looting goods and cash.

Photos of The Proofs of Violence in Arakan, The Muslim Rohingya Victims and Refugees

ARAKAN, Burma – The sufferings of the Rohingya Muslims in Arakan (Rakhine) or those who have fled to neighboring countries, have not yet ended. The burnings and looting of their houses in the villages in a number towns in Arakan are still ongoing. Murders are not exception, which has claimed thousands of lives, not to mention the cases of rapes against the Rohingya Muslimahs, in addition to those who are forced to flee to neighboring countries, who are not well received, in fact they are even driven out, all these are increasingly hurting the Muslims all over the world.

Despite being at their worst, the international world seems powerless to deal with this. The Rohingya Muslims are truly not protected, be it from the parties within the country or abroad. Whereas, Rakhine is not an unaccessible area that is far from human life. Even the Burmese authorities are silent and letting the atrocities against Muslims continue to happen, claiming to have sent their security forces to Arakan , but the security forces are not protecting the Rohingya people, in fact they are even involved in violence themselves.

Earnest Call to Save the Remaining Rohingyans in Arakan”

Dear All,
Many Rohingya people in exile including myself have struggle for democratization and the release of Political Prisoners in Burma. All of us hope that a day there will be Peace and Freedom. That day has come likely and Hope has come back for all.
But soon, ethnic cleansing against defenceless unarmed Rohingya is recurred in Arakan and there is a huge misinformation on the situation.. It is very horror and well organized from the beginning that Curfew and Order are imposed on only Rohingya while Rakhine people are freely allowed to carry out various attacks, looting goods and cash even harden woods and pillars and torching fire at last after security forces opening fires into Rohingya houses and Rohingyans. In this manner, many of our family members and relatives were killed including my cousins and my mum and sister are still missing..
Because of we are dark, or muslim or just Rohingya. I don’t know exactly. Despite politics, nationalities are not as important as the emergency. Nowadays in many local journal and online news, Rakhine- politicians, monks, historians and teachers are openly declaring that they could not share their lands, waters, foods and any resource for Rohingya, not anymore. Now, authority are replacing Rakhine people in Rohingya lands which were burnt down. High ranking authorities said that they don’t want to see any Kala in the town and Rohingya or Bengali or Kala could not be owner of anything in Burma.

Ethnic violence mars transition to democracy for Rohingya in Burma

Clashes in west of country between Muslim Rohingya and Rakhine Buddhists have left 80 dead

They are one of the world's most persecuted and unwanted minorities, says the UN – the Roma of east Asia. Now the Rohingya face a wave of hatred from Burmese bloggers who brand them "dogs, thieves, terrorists" and "black monsters".
Recent clashes between the Muslim Rohingya and Rakhine Buddhists in western Burma officially left 80 dead and 54 injured, but NGOs fear the true toll is far higher. Some sources suspect Burmese security forces joined Buddhist mobs in their attacks on Muslims. The UN World Food Programme has distributed emergency aid to 60,000 people, and says 90,000 need help.

Dangerous waters for Burmas Rohingya minority

As Burma's rulers claim the country is embracing democracy, Asia correspondent John Sparks reports on the perilous attempts of native Rohingya people to seek refuge in Bangladesh At the end of a jetty in the town of Teknaf in Bangladesh, the sound of misery rose up above the wind and the waves. 140 men and boys were caught by the coastguard at first light, and a camera team filmed as they pleaded and prayed for their lives. After weeks of violence in north west Burma, members of that country's Muslim minority, also known as the "Rohingya", are trying to flee. But no one wants them. We filmed as members of the Bangladesh coastguard handed out water and packs or rice and bread rolls before ordering them back onto their boats. They were a sorry-looking group, many of whom were crying uncontrollably. Their boats were leaky and badly overloaded, but it wasn't the voyage they men fear most - they are petrified of returning to Burma. "They'll kill me," said one man who had to be dragged on a boat. Our camera team heard the reply from a member of the coast guard: "Allah will save you. Now go back." In Burma's Rakhine state, the fires have been burning for several weeks now. Homes have been raised and lives taken by hate filled mobs. Ethnic Buddhists and the Muslim Rohingya blame each other for the violence, but hard facts are difficult to come by. International NGOs have pulled their staff out - too dangerous they say - while Burma's government refuses to let independent observers in. The result is an information vacuum - no-one knows what the death toll or how many have escaped the violence. The United Nations says 90,000 people have been displaced by the violence but they have little more than guesswork to rely on. The head of the UNHCR in Bangladesh, Craig Saunders told us: "It is very, very difficult to get an accurate picture of what is actually going on." Information is scarce, but our camera team found people willing to talk. They spoke to Rohingya refugees who'd made the crossing to Bangladesh. Some have hidden in farmers' shacks. Others have been taken in by sympathetic locals - and most were seemed deeply traumatised. One illegal entrant, called Shahara Khatun, said: "My sisters, brothers and other relatives were burnt alive. They burnt my own children. We couldn't bear it any more so we came to Bangladesh. The coastguard turned us back three times - and we floated at sea for four days and four nights. Then we managed to sneak in. Three of our children were burnt to death in Burma. Another two died in the boat getting here." Her husband Mohammad Islam told us that local policemen and members of the military in Burma had sided with the ethnic Buddhists - participating in attacks on Muslims. He said he saw a Burmese helicopter attack boats packed with refugees: "There were three boats together when we set off - and another three followed us. The three boats that lagged behind where attacked by a helicopter and caught fire." He thinks almost 50 people were killed, adding: "We saw something reddish fall on the boats and instantly they exploded into flames." A regional official in Burma today denied this allegation, pointing out that there was "only one" helicopter in Rakhine state which is "unarmed". We don't know what happened to the men and the boys we filmed on the jetty in Teknaf. A local contact said five of the boats, pushed back into the sea, had disappeared by the next morning - but like much of the tesitmony we've heard, we have been unable to verify this. Still, events in Burma are a catastrophe for the Rohingya, a little-known group of people who nobody seems to want. Only dialogue and generosity and human decency will prevent further loss of life.

Burmese helicopter kills 50 Muslim Rohingya refugees fleeing violence

Burma, Bangladesh deny reports of helicopter attack

 Monday, 25 June 2012 10:44 Mizzima News

Authorities in Burma and Bangladesh have denied accounts by Rohingya refugees that a helicopter from their country attacked boats carrying refugees seeking to enter Bangladesh by sea on June 8.

A second story published on Saturday by Radio Free Asia, based on refugee accounts, said a Burmese helicopter took off from near Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State, and set fire to three boats carrying nearly 50 Muslim Rohingyas fleeing sectarian violence in western Burma in an attack that is believed to have killed everyone on board, according to refugee accounts.

Myanmar's Rohingya forced back to sea

Thousands of Muslims have been escaping from Myanmar after dozens were killed in religious violence.
They are fleeing attacks in Rakhine state by the Buddhist majority. Many have tried to reach Bangladesh, where their ancestors are from.
However, some Rohingya who reached Bangladesh by boat were turned away by the border guards, who gave them a bottle of water and some food, and forced them back to sea, despite appeals from the UN.

Akyab (Sittwe):
There are five Rohingya villages that were not burned down yet. Rohingya people from other villages those homes were burned down into ashes or destroyed have been taking shelter in the said villages. So far, a group of Rakhine racist mobs have been surrounding the villages with lethal weapons such as— knives, sticks, swords— though the armies were deployed in Akyab. Few Rohingyas were sneaking out in fear of death and the rest are staying to face whatever happens to them at night, according to an elder from Akyab.

World Refugee Day & Rohingyas

Photo: AFP

Every year since 2000 the United Nations observes June 20 as World Refugee Day. On this day UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called upon the world nations to help the refugees. He said - "We must work together to mobilise the political will and leadership to prevent and end the conflicts that trigger refugee flows….Despite budget constraints everywhere, we must not turn away from those in need. Refugees leave because they have no choice. We must choose to help."

When the world is observing World Refugee Day, Bangladesh is encountering a serious refugee pressure from influx of Rohingyas from Myanmar. It may be mentioned here that Bangladesh is already housing more than five lakh Rohingyas who have already become a burden for a poor economy like ours.

Perdana Global Peace Foundation Press Release: Persecution of the Rohingya

sunday 24 june 2012
PRESS RELEASE

Persecution of the Rohingya

The recent escalation of events in early June in the Rakhine state of Western Myanmar is a matter of deep concern to the Perdana Global Peace Foundation. It has been widely reported that the Rohingya, a stateless minority, were physically attacked and their homes burnt by the Buddhist majority with some dozens “reported” dead; however it is believed that thousands perished. This has resulted in thousands fleeing their villages and seeking refuge in neighbouring countries, especially Bangladesh.

Reports abound that for decades the Rohingya, who were born and bred in Myanmar have been subject to discrimination and serious human rights violations by the Buddhist majority. It goes well beyond marginalization of a community, which is often experienced by many ethnic minorities worldwide. Most explicit is the denial of citizenship rights which leaves this minority community even more vulnerable to bigotry, intolerance and abuse by the established majority.

"World`s worst persecuted ethnic Muslim Minority(Rohingya) at risk at home "

In Arakan Rohingyas are the second major ethnic minority. Their existence in Arakan is for centuries. Rohingyas are historically well known as indigenous people of Arakan, Myanmar(Burma). But after seizing of power from a Democratic government by military in 1962, Muslim Rohingyas are being treated as foreigners because the Barbaric military junta alleged that Rohingyas were migrated from Bangladesh(East Pakistan) which is totally baseless and politically motivated allegation. Then their citizenship was refused by introducing Citizenship Act-1982. Since then Rohingyas have been persecuted by the junta and imposed restrictions on only Muslim Rohingys on the freedom of religion, business, government service, travel, education, marriage, construction and renovation of Mosques and religious schools.

Communal Riots

The first Communal Riot between the Buddhist Rakhines and Muslim Rohingyas occurred in 1942 under British rule. By the inciting of Burmen and carelessness of British ruler in Burma occurred 1942 Riot. Actually, it was a Muslim massacre. Thousands of Muslims were killed by Rakhines (Maghs). After 70 years another big and danger Communal Riot occurred on 3rd June,2012 between Rakhines and Rohingyas. This was triggered on 3rd June, 2012 when the ultra racist Rakhines killed 10 Muslim pilgrims in Thandwe, Arakan at presence of police and army ( Narinjara News ). Then on Friday 8th June when Rohingyas in Maungdaw gathered to offer prayer and pray for the salvation of the souls of late 10 Muslim pilgrims , police fired to the crowd in Maungdaw and died one Rohingya on the spot and many wounded. The Rohingyas were instantly enraged and involved in clash with the Rakhines in Maungdaw. The communal clash spread in other areas of Arakan. The Rakhines torched some Muslim villages and some Mosques in Maungdaw and Sittwe(Akyab) with the cooperation of police and paramilitary forces. The Muslim from Akyab were mostly affected by the communal Riot. Al most 17 Rohingya villages in Akyab were burnt in to ashes. The dead figure could be very high. Report of dead and torching of houses is still coming and still occurring Riot in some areas in Arakan.

The recent situation of Maungdaw and Rathidaung Townships

24 june 2012
The concerned authorities brought many Rakhine poor villagers from different parts of northern Arakan to Maungdaw and are kept under the Nasaka camps of Maungdaw south to show them as Rakhine refugees to UN delegation that will come next to survey the situation of Maungdaw.

The police personnel from Maungdaw loot goods from Rohingyas villagers who were returning to their home after buying goods from Rakhines’ shops. Some elder Rakhine, monks and police told the shopkeepers not to sell any goods to Rohingyas.
It is not a communal riot between Rakhines and Rohingyas. It is really a pre-planned government responsible attack along with some a group Rakhine racists against the Rohingya community.
Special court in Maungdaw
Recently army and Nasaka arrested Rohingyas from various villages from Maungdaw are being trialed at special court in Maungdaw police station where the court sentenced to imprisonment on the spot and sent the Rohingya to Buthidaung Jail. The court used Act 148/506 on arrested Rohingya. In Buthidaung jail has 168 Rohingya with this Act. In the jail, the authority registered the Rohingyas with photograph.

A Rohingya Muslim girl Raped By Burmese Forces until she died

june 23 2012

MAUNGDAW, Myanmar- Violence against the Rohingya Muslim population in Arakan (Rakhine), Burma (Myanmar) is still ongoing and allowed to happen by the joint “security” forces made up of the military, Nasaka, as well as the police. The villages of the Rohingya Muslims continue to be attacked and plundered, the Muslim residents are arrested, a majority of them are men, so that the Rohingya residents would abandon their villages, in order for the “new occupants” to be able to occupy those villages.

Rapes against the Muslim girls and women still happen as well in the villages of the Rohingya Muslims. On Sunday (17/6/2012), a Muslimah is reported to have been raped by the Burmese soldiers until she died, as reported by Kaladan News on (18/6).

Amina (not the real name), was gang raped by the soldiers in the village of Pandaung Pin (Nawlborna) in Maungdaw until she met her death.

In another village, the Bagonena village, two Rohingya girls were also raped. However, there is no report of how their conditions are right now.

Many Rohingya men have been arrested by the army or police, as a result many of the remaining houses are only occupied by women, thus enabling them to be easily harassed and dishonoured by those kafir Burmese.

Earlier, 11 Rohingya Muslimahs who are still teenagers, have become victims of the savagery of the mushrik Burmese forces, they are deprived of their honour amidst the sufferings as a result of the violence committed by the Buddhist ethnics of Arakan in their villages.

International Community needs to pressure the Myanmar Government to stop the racial profiling, derogatory name calling and Hate Speeches

June 7, 2012
We wish to record that we all are sad about the recent acceleration of Anti-Muslim activities in Myanmar and especially regarding the Buddhist Terrorists killing of innocent Muslims in Taunggoke.
When we look back the political history of Burma or Myanmar; we could notice that radical hardliners from the majority Burmese would conveniently use the Minority Religious Groups as scapegoats to get out of the political quagmire frequently.
At the present time, whole of Myanmar is dosed with the Petrol of Hatred on Muslims of Myanmar and no wonders any accidental or deliberate flick of fire would detonate this kind of explosive response.
Most of the Burmese and Buddhists from both side of political divide could not hide their feelings of deep seated hatred and antagonism toward all the Muslims in Myanmar.
This is because of the repeated HATE CAMPAIGNS by radical hardliners which is never stopped by the successive Myanmar governments. Even US Department of State had mentioned repeatedly in its Human Rights reports in Burma that the copies of the 120 page long, Anti-Muslim booklet which is titled, ‘We are afraid that our race will disappear’ and “Burmese Citizens Beware!” pamphlets are distributed in most of Myanmar nowadays.
The whole book is written to demonstrate the anti-Muslim sentiment existing in Bamas and the authorities turning a blind eye, although realizing that this had lead to very dangerous and disastrous consequences and the pressure in Bama-boiler is increasing daily and it is ready to explode again.
